FML

Went to daiso, was super excited to find buttons with the same design as my top which had lost its first button. Went home only to realize it is different color. Sux! Now I still have to replace 7 buttons. *sobs*

Updated!!!
I don't know how I did it but I managed to sew the button onto the inner side, and I wore it to work for the whole day, wondering why the outfit was hitching up so much.

AND NO ONE TOLD ME. WTF, PEOPLE?

Der Bär umzieht Haus

I bought the longer wooden frame some years ago, together with a shorter one to hold the dried and paper rose bouquet I made for the Town Mouse. The bear was a MacDonald's Happy Meal gift and the rest of the furniture I bought during some sale.

It was way past time for the bear to move in.

Sigh, I threw out the cans of varnish I got for another craft (and never used) while spring cleaning some years ago. So I had to buy some new varnish, this time a water-based varnish from Daiso, as well as some other materials.

The new house now has a rice wallpaper, boarded floor, and a framed picture. Nett, nicht wahr? I wonder if people pay for this kind of stuff? Seriously, how much would you pay for this?

So what Wasabi Tei's Chef Grump was serving

As I was saying, we were at Sembawang Shopping Centre's Daiso outlet. I checked out the Bento section, as my usual wont, and B1 bought me some cute little containers to separate the different flavors. I was especially attracted by the animal-head sauce containers.

I finally found out what the ingredient in the starter the Wasabi Tei Chef Pehpeh usually serves, was exactly. It's called Renji de Nimono Hijiki, and contains the petrified Hijiki seaweed and carrots.

Preparation is super easy. Just add 70ml (actually should be more) water to it and zap it in a 600W microwave in 1 min. After tasting it, I think it tastes exactly like the way the uncle serves it, missing the roasted meat bits that the uncle boils down with the seaweed. Somewhat addictive if you like the savory taste.
