I am not getting broody

But this photo of Queen E II's little great-granddaughter Savannah is to die for. Isn't she adorable??? I left this page running while I was working, just so that I could admire Her Royal Cuteness. =D

I like the names Savannah and Shaughnessy. Much better than Natasha, which I used to like, until I realize that it was used to describe Eastern European prostitutes.

Wow, an atas place is so different from any bourgeois shit.

Didn't blogged recently because sehr beschäftigt sigh. Even some of the posts were scheduled stuff from the weekend, as you can obviously tell.

I was in a rotten mood yesterday because I had to stay back until quite late for Arbeit. So I demanded  my favorite gemütlich dish, Korean Ginseng Chicken. At that hour of the night, the nearest place before closing time was Holland Ville so we popped over to Hansang for a quick meal.

We parked at Merah Saga, you know where I had my lovely lunch at Bistro Petit Salut. Then I remembered that little shop on the corner that sells beautiful cookware. They even had the layout I wanted if I could afford a nicer kitchen. *swoon* Ah I could immediately feel my spirits lift at the sight of all the colorful dishes (it's weird what makes me happy nowadays).

It has such a beautiful storefront, nicht wahr?

Thanks to my taking the photo in such a clandestine manner, I wasn't able to capture its true spirit

you know a place is atas when they take the trouble to print the logo on the brown paper

B1 is so sweet!!!
B1 got me the loaf pan I always wanted. You know I had a lot of problems finding this pyrex loaf pan which I need because I am using a microwave oven to bake my bread. I couldn't find a glass one, so I was really happy to hit pay dirt and find so many at this shop! =D

I took the tallest one I could find. My bread can only go upwards now!

for once it pays to have bad eyesight.

take off your pants (just kidding) spectacles and take a look between the lines. I wanted to censor  in case she is not decent but apparently my eyesight is not that bad enough. sigh.

If you still cannot see, enlarge the image.

I love this year's fall season TV

Did I mention how much I love this season's TV? In fact all good things begin with P. PlayBoy. And Pan Am.

In fact, do I love Red Bunny or Blue Bunny? Hmmm...Definitely Blue Bunny. If there is anyone from USA reading this blog... I am going to be damn pissed if PlayBoy gets cancelled so start watching it already!

I have also decided I like french accents.

Updated
Damn Playboy is cancelled. I am now officially pissed.

My Adorable Neffe - Inculcating the love of Books

The way to encourage children to read, is to teach them how to abuse the book. This was where I showed him how to flip a book. Once he thinks books are fun, next thing you do is conning him into reading. I have no idea what my Schwägerin did. The boy is traumatized by baby books, but adult books are a whole other matter. Whenever I am with the boy, I make sure I read to him or show him what I am reading. I pretend to ignore him. So he thinks whatever I am reading is interesting =D.

I thought about uploading all the pics I paparazzied of him (the little bugger moves damn fast, every shot is a blur. I had to use my legs to block/ protect him sometimes so that I can take the shots in peace), but hesitated. I don't even upload my own pics, why the hell should I compromise my little baby Neffe?

So damn Cute!

I was doing my usual blog surfing when I came across this blog, which incidentally led me to the original website where this guy draws cute images to send to his girlfriend via sms. He made it into a personal blog to surprise her, and then his friends went to twitter about it, making it very popular.

I think his art is super cute. Have a look!~

I wish I have the talent and the patience to draw like that.

I liked this image the most, even if it didn't happen to B1. Sigh.

The Anime Festival Asia Cosplayer Babes (AFA 2010)

Some were at least.

What you see here thus far are those from my shitty camera and B1's iPhone. It is times like this I wish I wasn't so tight and would save up for a DSLR. At least I would have some magnificent photos on this blog, and people wouldn't jossle me out of a shot position just because their cameras are bigger and more expensive. The anpanman and the other character shot really annoyed me 'cos this girl with a big SLR kept swinging into my shot and now I have to capture her nasty hand in my photo. Twice. I ended up having to use Photoshop to cut her out. Annoying.

I'd have to admit, I only watch certain animes, and those people who know me, will be sniggering when they read this. So I don't have much clue on what some of these cosplayers are emulating. Say for example, the cute girl in the pink costume. When asked what anime she was supposed to be from, B1 said, probably hentai. I probably like the vacuum cleaner shot the most because I see housework that way. Evil.

I didn't get many photos again this year, because we went in the late afternoon. Had to play a few rounds of CoH before we left.

My own Top Ten Male Anime Characters

I strongly disagree with the largely gay-looking characters in SankakuComplex's Top 10 Male Characters of the Decade, and counter with my own Top Ten Nicest Male Characters of the Decade.

1. Yuki Eiri from Gravitation
Yes I know he is a yaoi character. But that show's OST remains my especial favourite, even so many years after it ended.

[source: nanoda.com]

2. [Ninja] Shinobu Morita from Hachimitsu no Clover
Hate his hair. Love his personality, intelligence and creativity.

Maid Momoko offers her penciled Love

I was inspired by my rewrite on the maid cafe experience that the moment I woke up I drew a new little girl in pink. This is the second time I am drawing in pencil after Gordon the Gopher. I was told by one of my colleagues when I showed her my earlier version (as seen above in the header, and was drawn in Microsoft Paint) that she wasn't emoting enough like those real Japanese drawing >.<. But as typical as beginners go, I realized my booboo after I finished that I should have drawn from left to right to spare the pencil mark smudging...Anyway I decided to upload her before I start coloring.

Isn't it so coincidental that I decided to name my little girl as Momoko, when pink in Japanese means Momoiro, 桃色? Keke.

Updated!!!
I realised stupidly after staring at the picture more closely that Momoko's arms seems long, almost reaching her feet. While it would be desirable for sit-and-reach, she probably resembles an Orang Utan...An especially bad idea since I am not trying to dedicate to our beloved Ah Meng.

Japanese Maid Cafe - This is How we Love to be Served

@Home Cafe maid cafe is one of the most popular maid cafes in Japan. They have two branches at Akihabara. But they were too crowded, with long snaking queues, no joke when we were in the dead of the winter and we were exposed to the elements. The other branch is located inside the Level 5 Don Quixote.

The map I used to go there is not updated. Sigh. And worse still, I forgot to use landmarks. I ended up going around asking "Kokowa doko desu ka?"
We ended up at the Cos-cafe. I thought the food was good when I visited the site that's why we went there. It was quite empty. The food was hahaha, an experience. So was the encounter with the pretty maid. Btw you cannot take photos of or with the maids (exception seems to be given to Caucasians), you have to buy a copy.

Speaking of the maid, she welcomed us in a super cute voice, but since our Japanese is crap, we were like "huh?" Three attempts later, she then spoke in surprisingly guttural English "Come here." Like Igor donned a pretty girl suit. =D
I have to give her points for trying. She always tried three times in cute Japanese before doing the Igor. But sadly we did not get to have the maid experience much, unlike the pehpeh next to us. Using one cup of 600yen tea, he managed to get three maids to SQUAT (with their legs closed demurely together) near his feet next to the table talking sweetly to him, at different times for about 30 minutes each (I timed them). We spent 3000 yen and had some really bizarre dishes, which I will upload later.

The three cafes below are @Home, St Grace Court (defunct), and Cos-Cafe.
